Hitch Enterprises, Inc. is a family owned and managed agricultural company. It is primarily located in the Oklahoma panhandle in and around Guymon, Oklahoma. This region is called the High Plains Desert due to its relatively low annual rainfall and general lack of trees. Our operations can feed approximately 250,000 cattle annually if stocked to 100% capacity and produce 300,000 finished pigs. We have 3 feedyards in Kansas and Oklahoma. We are also farmers. We raise corn, milo, sunflowers, wheat (hard red and white), introduced grasses, and alfalfa. And, last but not least, we are ranchers.
We are always working on improving what we do. It has been an interesting last few years with the strange moves in the markets and in world politics. We have dealt with international trade issues like the restrictions on shipment of U.S. beef into Japan, Korea, and other traditional markets. Fuel prices, corn prices, and cattle prices have all been in great turmoil due to various events and influences world-wide.
The Hitch Family intends to take our business into the 21st Century and beyond with improvements to our cattle operation and the pork operation.
